The Estudiantina functioned as the informative and literary bulletin edited by the students and the school’s teaching staff. Although it was originally born as a section within the now defunct Diari de Vilanova, the initiative ended up becoming independent until it took shape as its own publication. In an era where social networks did not exist, this magazine was the umbilical cord that kept the educational community together and connected it with the city of Vilanova.
